ADULT Faith Formation

In his last words to the apostles, Jesus gave them a mission:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”  (Mt 28:19-20)

Thus, the teaching mission of the Church comes from Christ himself. The responsibility for fulfilling that mandate passes on unchanged to the bishops and to all Catholics. Our Lady of Good Counsel faith formation programs for children and adults present amazing opportunities for our parishioners to deepen their spiritual lives and grow closer to God. Programs are offered throughout the year for parishioners of all ages.

Our first virtual Adult Faith Formation Class is The Ascension of the Lord — Thursday May 21, 2020 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm:  Jesus returned to the right hand of the Father, not to leave us but to lead us all the way to heaven. The great paradox is because he has ascended, and he is able to remain with us in a profound new way.  This will be a brief one-hour session, which will enable everyone to use the Zoom application and gather together (virtually) to discuss the Solemnity, and share their faith as well as their experiences in recent months.

Log into the Session at 6:55pm by clicking on the following link:

You can also cut and paste the link into your browser.  If you have an older computer, I recommend that you click in  sooner, as Zoom can take a bit longer to open.

To prepare, please read the Ascension Mass Readings:
During the class, we will be watching a short presentation from Formed.org
Although not necessary to watch ahead of time, the link is for your convenience.
